Should I get this game or Harvest Moon: A New Beginning?

It depends on what you are looking for in this game. As a rhythm game I think it is subpar. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is a much better pure rhythm game. As a point and click adventure it is actually pretty entertaining though. The characters are interesting and quirky, the storyline is captivating and the locale is unique. I am having a good time with it and would guess that I am pretty close to finishing it.

My wife is a huge Harvest Moon fan and she is having a blast with A New Beginning so I guess if you like that franchise you cannot go wrong with it.

It grieves thems more to own a bad house than a bad life, as if it were man's greatest good to have everything good but himself."

I got this game because I couldn't find HM. I was pleasantly surprised. I must preferred the story to the actual gameplay though.

It IS 17.47 on Amazon right now. I snagged myself an extra copy at that price.

Harvest Moon is alright. But not worth the 40 dollars unless you're a hardcore HM fan.

Rhythm thief is much cheaper, and I had more fun with it.

I disagree. Pure rhythm games aren't just about the gameplay, but that optimistic feel good feeling where you just can't help but enjoy yourself. Parappa, Space Channel 5, Gitarooman, Elite Beat Agents, they're all fantastic because they capture this atmosphere and work it with fantastic gameplay.

Rhythm Thief could have easily been a minigame collection and still been fun. The fact that it has those quirky characters, a unique premise and a superb OST alongside it all is what makes it an awesome game.

I watch walkthroughs to fill in the plot holes. It actually works really well.
