What exactly does the Biffman suit do?

I've tried it out, but it only seems to give me some boomerangs and nothing else. Are there any other effects I should be aware of? Is the suit as worthless as it seems?

Other than giving you a boost on running speed and boomerangs, it is merely just a costume to run around in. its pretty much for entertainment.
