I never really liked shooters but Resistance changed my mind completely.
It's not your typical military shooter , it has ALIENS!!! :) Sony never fails with its exclusives!
Story:
You play as Nathan Hale , a soldier who has to defend his country (and the whole world) from the Chimera , an alien race that has come to earth solely to destroy the human species and conquer earth.
Overall:
The campaign is great , the weapons are amazing and each have a special power (secondary fire) you can also play the campaign with your buddy in multiplayer(offline). I loved the boss fights , there's nothing better than taking down those big guys! As for the visuals , they're incredible , i think it looks better than the sequel actually!
Online:
I didn't play much of the online multiplayer but from what i have played i found it challenging , most of the players were a ton of levels ahead of me and i kept dying. In online multiplayer you're either a human soldier or a Chimeran creature.
The thing that bothered me though was the lack of Trophies , BUT you do get rewarded when you finish the game , you get a bunch of help when you play the game again and you unlock some exclusive content.
All and all it's an amazing game and a must have if you own a PS3!
BTW you're probably thinking "meh , those aliens aren't that scary..." but wait until one of them comes right in your face and starts beating the hell out of you!:P
Totally ROCKS! 9/10
