The PS3 owes this game BIG TIME...

Cast your mind back to 2006...Your brand new PS3, the big black behemoth is out of the box. Now all you need is a disc to put in it (other than the Bluray of Talladego Nights it came packaged with) and what do you grab? Resistence: Fall of Man.

For some reason Sony couldn't line up any decent games for the launch. (Probably because developers were waiting to see what it would run like first? Or it took longer because of the way it was built?)

But anyway, Resistence 1 was and is, fantastic...I've played through the single player 5 times. I still play multiplayer to this day and even though the game is now 3 years old there's still people on there playing.

From it, there has spun a PS3 sequel and a PSP offshoot.

But basically, without Resistence 1, 2006 (and early 2007) was like a bleak desert of not having any good games. (Until Tom Clancy: Rainbox 6, and Ninja Gaiden came out this was the only show in town! Kudos Insomniac...We OWE YOU ONE!
