Gameplay: 8/10

Multiplayer: 6/10
Presentation: 9/10

Graphics: Not great. objects seemed quite blocky and not varied. The other characters looked particularly bad, and you don't have a proper atmosphere created in-game. The graphics don't fool anyone. Quite grainy at times, and the guns are pathetic. (The bullets are so slow you can see them travel through the air! WTF?)

Story: I'll give it to you plain and simple. Any game... You as a character in any game, can only do a number of actions (shoot, jump, run, drive, look, collect items, reach objectives etc.) That's just how games are developed. What a developer should do, is create a story to a game that flows through the game that eliminates this sense of simplicity. Resistance 2 isn't given that storybook style (although Resistance 1 had a really good story). Playing this game, you will easily get bored. It HONESTLY feels like you run from the start to your objective, and kill everything along the way. It's horrible. Cut-scenes do not relate to the in-game play, and you'll find yourself just running, shooting, and collecting objects THE WHOLE GAME.

Sound: The sound is actually quite good. The ambience created by the music is quite interesting, but because the graphics do not match, it feels wierd and cheesy.

Multiplayer: OK. Multiplayer. Not so great. There's no co-op campaign available. There is an offline co-op mode, but that isn't the single player campaign, like it was in Resistance 1. Online co-op is OK, but not as good as the CODs, and nowhere near as good as Killzone 2. Its not deep enough. There are only a few different abilities, and the characters aren't all that well animated, so the other people look quite silly whilst running, jumping, shooting etc.

Presentation: Fantastic. The huge buildings and vast aircrafts are really aesthetically pleasing. And look great. The cut-scenes (despite their lack of any purpose, because of no story) look amazing. However all these great visuals are absent once you actually back to in-game.

VERDICT: As a big Resistance 1 fan, I bought this hoping the story would be great. It isn't. In fact, there isn't a story.
There are loads of great FPSes out there in the form of Call of Duty, Bioshock, Killzone and more.
If you are like me, and give FPSes 100%, do not buy this game. Get Killzone 2 or something. Resistance doesn't flow. It doesn't work. It's a failure. A disappointment.

BUY KILLZONE 2, NOT RESISTANCE 2
