From single player to multiplayer this title delivers on every front!!!
Resistance 2 continues where Resistance: Fall of man left off. Nathan Hale gets picked up by some unknown people after the war in Europe. From that point on R2 is nonstop action with plot twist after plot twist. R2 makes you keep coming back for more.
The graphics are top notch, a huge improvement over the original. With many different environments R2 provides a lot of eye candy and change that doesn't make the game feel repetitive.
The sound is fantastic too!! DTS surround sound...need I say more?
The story line is amazing in every way. The ending cliff hanger was initially disappointing because I have to wait for R3 to find out what happens, but overall the story makes me want to play it over again.
Controls are just as great as everything else. They are smooth and natural.
The multiplayer for R2 is probably where the most improvement over the original has been noticed. The coop story mode online (side stories of the single player) supports two people per console up to an eight man team. You have three classes, medic, soldier, and spec ops. You need all three or you can't succeed in the missions (normally). This dependence on other classes gives a new meaning to coop that isn't seen in games like COD4 or K2.
While this game isn't worth buying a PS3 for, it is one to get if you have one or plan to get one. There are tons of other games that should make you own a PS3, MGS4, LBP, Uncharted, GOWIII, Uncharted 2, MAG, inFamous, Valkyria Chronicles, etc....best exclusives on any console.
This game is an excellent FPS and is definitely worth checking out!!
