INTRO-
This was a game that I had been interested in for a very long time, having owned the original that came out around the same time as the PS3 I had high expectations and was excited to see that Hale's story would be carried on...

The first thing that you will notice when you start up the game is the title screen, I had to mention this just for the fact that if you pay close attention to Nathan's eyes as you progress through the game you may notice a 'slight' change ^^ The graphics blew me away, bearing in mind that it was a cutscene though and I'm sure, pre-rendered but even so it had some of the best graphics and textures that I have ever seen on the PS3. Each of the characters and enemies look real enough that you could probably touch them.

The game is set out into separate missions/chapters just like the first game, with each becoming progressively difficult as you get nearer the end of the game. On the subject of difficulty -

Difficulty -
This game is hard! You will die several times before you reach the end, and if you are not used to the controls or have not played the first game then even the Easy mode can prove troublesome. For example - all you need to do is stray into enemy fire just slightly and you will find yourself on the floor with the red screen of death covering your face. Also there are some one hit kill enemies so make sure you do not get caught by these. Though the reason it is hard is way I enjoy the game so much, it may be a bit harsh on people not used to FPS's but I am glad that there are now games that are finally offering a challenge.

Gameplay-
This game is incredibly fun, blasting away wave after wave of chimera is enjoyable to say the least, and head shots are very satisfying, who knew that a squishing sound could be so rewarding? X3 Though I have to say that some parts of the game got quite repetitive which is why I didn't give it a 9. But this does not diminish any from the experience. This is a fun game that will make you want to play through every difficulty to actually see if you have what it takes.

Definitely worth the purchase, if a'bit repetitive at times, still a fun ride.
