If you found Playstation's original awesome, then you should definitely try this one out!

When I first saw the Playstation's Resident Evil, I was impressed. The concept was original and combined action & horror with great success. When I learned about the Gamecube's remake, I was really excited and soon realized that I was right to be so.

The game was re-designed from the ground up, leaving any fan of the series satisfied. The characters' design is absolutely realistic, the mansion is even scarier, and so are the zombies. The game has many clever and unexpected additions as well. While in the Playstation version mortally wounding a zombie was enough, in Gamecube you have to blow its head off or burn its remains to finish it off. Otherwise, after a while the zombie will turn into a much more powerful and agile crimson zombie, which will chase you around the room. Yikes! The first time this happened to me I just had to start over, because I didn't know what I was supposed to do. This kept the game's scare factor refreshing, even for fans of the original.

The game is quite hard to finish, but worth every minute of play. Chris Redfield (no introductions needed, I presume) starts with only a knife, while Jill Valentine has a gun and a little help from Barry Burton. There is nothing else to say about the game's graphics or controls, they just rock. You will just stay hooked, I promise!
