The best game of the series.

When I first got resident evil, in 2002, I had never really played any survival-horrors before. I'll tell you right now, if your new to the series, go on hiking mode (easy). You'll run out of ammo and get really frustrated. However, whatever difficulty you pick doesn't change the fact that this game is CONFUSING. You gotta run around constantly, going back and forth looking for story items and ammo, and gasoline. (to burn zombies, so they dont come back as Crimson Heads, which kinda reminded me of the zombies from 28 weeks later)

Finding and retrieving items doesn't sound bad, but its NONSTOP in this game, be prepared to get frustrated. The first time through I needed a strategy guide about 5 minutes after starting the game.
All RE games are like this, but I think the RE Remake is probably the most confusing.

Other then that small flaw, this games story is awesome, really sucks you in, if your into zombies you'll like this game, trust me.

Also, this game really paved paths for the GC, which didnt have alot of mature titles.

At times, this game really made me nervous to go around corners and stuff (play it when noones home on a stormy night, trust.) the zombies moan spookily for fresh meat, the dogs growl rabidly, Lisa Trevor especially was creepy!

If your into horror survival or zombies, this ones for you!
