Ever since RE4 Resident Evil lost it's cool. While RE4 and 5 were amazing games, they were not very "survival horror", but rather action. They should really remake RE2 with RE5 game mechanics, but bring in all the good stuff like puzzles, lack of ammo, need to avoid zombies instead of shooting all of them.
@wackyum ''why not on ps2?'' Mate, first of all did you see what happened when they made the pc version of re5 after the ps3/360 version? instead of the laser pointer they put a hud targeting system. (which took away the coolness of the game) (glad that didnt happen when re4 came out for pc...) however, this is a FPS rail shooter of RE. and there is no way playeers can enjoy it with another targeting system besides the wii remote. (cant think of any other).well, if they made it with analogs of ps2 with the same hud, (my opinion) it would really, really suck and i dont think anyone would buy it.BUT if they made the ps2 version a TPS (which is stupid when wii version is FPS) and added laser pointers, that would be on the top of my list ;)
resident evil darkside chronicles is definitly a must buy. they should work more on how the infecteds react when the player shoots. maybe like in resident evil 5, if you shoot them in the shoulder the zombie spins halfway around himself because of the impact or maybe like in resident evil 4, if you shoot them in the ribs, the fly away from you swiftly spinning around themselves. with a couple of more adds like this, this game will be way better then DS:extraction. which im in a trouble deciding whether i should or not buy it instead of RE:DSC

i want this but for the PS3!!!!! wii is good...but not my fav anyways it's defenetly intresting for us who want to know ALL the story behind krauser and leon.

This looks preatty good.The voice is a little rough around the egdes,but it still looks good.
how many times i must say it..... where is the f#$@#% resident evil 2 remake for wii ps3 or xbox360(even if i don't own the xbox) c'mon capcom...people gets bored with all this spin offs and rail shooters make something new, something old school classic that everyone will love... i have 26 resident evil titles(pc:5,ps3:1,ps2:6,ps1:4,wii:3,gamecube:6,ds:1) i have every single game and spin off of the series(except gaiden for gameboy color i think) i mean i am a huge fan but i also think that after darkside chronicles the next game i'll buy in the series will be resident evil 6!!!the fans are searching for the new survival horror....it's a same resident evil and silent hill also left behind...everyone's waiting dead space 2...it's a shame capcom that resident evil series are look alike a devil may cry game nowdays... let every true fan of the series wish for something different and more special than this...
@Jojenmaihem i totally agree with you. RE is not what it used to be. I just loved the puzzles of re1 and re2, but now we cant see much of that. Resident evil was a survival horror game with action, now its action with survavor horror. Just look at re5. But i still love this game anyway. I was looking foward for this kind of game. I've always wanted to play the old-school RE, and this game is all about that. BUT-->i really hopped this game was not a Wii exclusive (nothing against wii), not only cus a only have ps3, but i really fell stuck on wii jogability. If this game was launched on ps2 or ps3 as well, i would love it. I just don't fell good playing a game that i only can control the sight of my gun. If we had this game's jogability like re5's (and the 4th), i'm sure it would be a lot better.
Its a shame the only way to see Zombies are in these Rails Games.... The great fail in Capcom are the "Ganados"... and lost the Survival Horror Way of course, now a RE is a Shooter not a game to think and survive.

Looks great... But is that the kind of game just in first peron (you still move the character and exploring environment), or just a shooter game (the screen and story moves and you just shoot zombies)!?

I think the graphics look good because it is like House of the Dead and Dead Space; just shooting...no control of the characters. That is my guess.

Looking forward to seeing how the new camera and co-op play out. Plus a new scenario with ZOMBIES, not crazed villagers... ZOMBIES... thank you capcom. Zombies are cool.

The graphics are kinda bad compared to RE5, but Darkside tops all the other games to date seen on the Wii. Finally, some background on Krauser and Leon's old partnership, because it seriously seemed kinda random in RE4.
Not that appealing; Capcom needs to stick with PS3. And -when- the HECK is Sherry Birkin gonna get a bigger role!? We're so far into this series and yet some of the major players (Barry Burton, Sherry Birkin, HUNK, Ada Wong) rarely ever show up, and if they do, it's like an Easter Egg gift, or a short movie of, "Oh, by the way, I'm still working for you." Like the end of RE5 - Chris and JILL SHOULD HAVE killed Wesker, but no no no... It was that BSAA bimbo. I think they screwed it up, and will have to earn my respect back ten-fold by doing better with the storyline come the next platform... Makes me question.... Who's going to be the main villain now that Albert Wesker is dead?
Horrible! That is the worst accent I have ever heard! Graphics suck! I am so sick of all these on rails games! I'm not 3 anymore, I'd like to control where my character does if I am going to be paying 50 dollars for it! They make the simple arcade games and charge as if it is MGS4 quality. No. Thank. You.
That trailer was pretty epic. Looks to definitely top the last Chronicles game. Finally learning about Krauser will really be nice.
