An amazing experience for a rail shooter.

I been bored lately and decided to rent this. I loved the first one so my expectation were pretty high. It was a great experience and even greater when you have a friend with you.

The game have three main chapters. One is a whole new story about Leon and Krauser visiting South America. The other two will be familiar to Resident Evil fans. The struggle Leon and Claire went through in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code veronica.

I was quite surprise how those chapters followed the story. Well at least Resident evil 2 did. The familiar Kendo,Chief Irons,Ben,Ada,and Sherry shows up. Code Veronica doesn't show Rodrigo Juan Raval doesn't make an appearance. We also don't learn what happen to Nicholai. The chapters however does stay true to what happen during those events.(Assuming that Leon/Steve and Claire stayed with each other.)

The game is very fun when you play with a friend. This is what Rail shooters are about. Being near a friend and killing zombies. The game at time doesn't feel like a rail shooter. It's a truly amazing experience to play with a friend.

A warning though if you have problem with Motion sickness than I doubt you can play this game. Each mission in a chapter can be beaten in about ten minutes though. The game is pretty short but you will go back to the later levels just to fight the old monsters.

The moving camera add tension to the game. It seem Gamespot had trouble aiming with it but I didn't have a problem.

The game look nice. The character models looks good and it nice to see what Krauser was like before Resident Evil 4. Still not much is revealed about him.
The zombies models are nice but few and all your favorite monsters returns. Some new monsters also appear.

The chapters all look nice though part of Leon and Krauser mission look the same. The Resident Evil 2/Code Veronica will look familiar to fans.

Speaking of Code Veronica I was a bit disappointed on how it turn out. It took out quite a bit of stuff. The whole Wesker Vs.Alexia or Wesker Vs.Chris were taken out. It still capture the scary moment of meeting the tyrant or meeting your first Bandersnatch but the lack of the Albinoid is disappointing.

The game sound good. The weapons sound familiar and the voice acting is the same. Leon sound like Leon and Claire sound like Claire. I'm not that enthusiastic about Manuela voice.

The game got plenty of replay value for a Rail Shooter. Krauser got a sub chapter for himself and a secret mode about Tofu.(For fans of Residnet Evil 2)
Plenty of costume to unlock.

+Plenty of replay for a rail shooter.
+Resident Evil 2 is done well.
-Code Veronica is a bit bland
+Nice to see Krauser but...
-Not a lot is revealed about him.
+An amazing experience with a friend
+Camera add tension to the game but...
-Can cause motion sickness.

It's a great game that become even greater with a friend. Fans will love the nostalgic from the game. Be warn though if you get sick easily you may not want to play this game. At least rent it first.

I say this is a buy for fans of Resident Evil.
