One of the best games on the 3ds in terms of graphics and gameplay.
Good:
3d effect was great giving it more of a sense of depth instead of popping out of the screen which was really pleasant especially when i set the 3d on 'Very Strong'.
Gameplay is fun having just enough ammo to kill but not so much till u can waste your ammo. When using Jill, u would have to conserve ammos and occasionally run from enemies and solve puzzles(which were quite simple). There are times where u use other characters like Chris which are more action packed where u get more ammo and simply have to survive the attacks. At certain points u will also get to use machine guns in boats or helicopters which were pretty fun too. There are also areas where you have to go underwater which i didn't really like though as it was tedious as you are unable to use your weapons except for the occasional shock grenades but it was still fun
Boss Fights were really enjoyable in this game , some being quite creepy esp those half human half zombies that can still speak. The final boss was esp tough compared to the rest
Weapons and equipments.The genesis is a pretty good addition which allows u to search for supplies and is quite significant in this game. U do not get a wide range of weapons just the main few like the rifle shotgun , machine gun and the magnum. The weapons expands in raid mode though. I felt the knife was completely useless , i only use it in the early game to try it out and stop using ever since
The story is not bad however i don't really follow the story in the RE series but it was pretty easy to follow through and will still keep your interest.(Not sure if its true, but the characters might be linked to RE6 as seen from the ending). Plenty of cutscenes.Some of the characters are pretty dull though.
The raid mode is fun with plenty of customizations and a leveling system which will last for hours as you play co op online too( I prefer it to mercenaries which is quite crap considering it was a full game) U get around 20 lvls but there are three difficulty lvls
The Bad
Not much to say except there is a slight frame rate issue when loading or waiting to get to a new location or while saving but it does not bothers me much and will not affect the gameplay
Lack of variety of enemies. U will see the same zombies or oozes over and over. The hunters are not that interesting too. I guess the only interesting ones are the bosses.
Overall this is a great game and you should buy it since it is unique in a sense as the nintendo handheld rarely get games in this genre. I consider it as one of the top few games on the 3ds along with super mario 3dland not considering ported games like zelda though that was quite fun too. A great original exclusive to the 3ds which makes it worthwhile getting.
