Resident Evil:Outbreak is definitely not what many Resident Evil fans want, but i have to say, if you have a network adapter and a bit of patience, the game can be really fun. The graphics are pretty average for a 2003 game, it's not bad, but not amasing, either. The sound is a little wierd, as when a character "says" something, the so-called subtitles that appear for that statement are completely different. For example, a character might say "heres what im thinking" but whats written on the screen is "Jim, help me out!". Other than that, the sounds are pretty average. The gameplay is really special in this game, it basicly controls like RE1-3, but each character has a special skill that can come in handy. There is only 5 levels, it's a bit disappointing, but at leadst each level is in a unique place, a hospital, a bar, a burning hotel, and a creepy iniversity. The game really isn't fun at all in single player, but once you play online, you might enjoy the game a bit, just because it's so unique, not many games let you go through levels like this with 4 people, doing special tasks to survive.
I really don't know why i like this game so much, I just enjoy the online co-op aspect, I guess.
