Better than file 1 due to some few additions, but pretty much the same.
There are 6 main scenarios, one of them is a learning one. There are also 3 new scenarios where you beat a certain amount of enemies in a certain time. There are also other 3 new, in each you will beat some bosses of file 1, some of file 2, and one that has all together (it´s hilarious)
There's also the ability walking and shooting..you will be able to walk and shoot..(unfortunately you can't run..)
Each character is still RPG based. It has HP, speed, virus growth and now each one comes with a special one. Except perhaps for Yoko, who will begin with a lucky charm which reduces the virus growth and protects you from deadly attacks like those, for instance, from the hunters or new deadly attacks caused by new monsters (However, they steal 2000 HP so you are pretty much doomed anyway), every starter item is pretty much useless.
On file 2 easy mode the damage taken by zombies was drastically reduced (more than 1/2) but the monsters cause more damage. This makes sense.
The scenarios are more realistic and interactive and most of them make it impossible to dodge zombies, due to tight corridors, so speed is no longer as important as in file one.
Multiplayer is now available in every version of the game but it's the same. Lack of communication between players.
The gameplay is also the same. Not scary anymore and very unrealistic. The start of the scenarios is the same: you start empty handed and hope to find a gun and healing items as you progress.
A game that remains the same will probably only be fancied by fans but it's still a nice game and it's worth buying.
