Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City - Kill Leon S. Kennedy Trailer

I expect this to be a good game. I don't expect a blockbuster of an experience, but I think it will be solid.

Consider this... Wesker died a miserable death in RE1... he came back stronger than ever and still in human form... this game is supposed to take place over the course of both re2 & 3... what did leon and claire do immediately after RE2? perhaps leon had a reason to go back and that is when his murder takes place... Notice how all the main characters later on seem to be super human after their initial exposure to the virus? Chris supper buff... Obviously jill was infected and had side effects... they seem immune... like the small doses of the virus did for them almost what it did for wesker... all the sudden leon is a super soldier in RE4?... i think exposure to the virus made them all like wesker and that is what will keep leon alive... just a though

Depending on how the story plays out it could be enjoyable. I wonder if they are considering having a spin-off timeline where Leon is dead therefore won't be able to lend support to the remaining STARS plus Caire probaly wouldn't had made it with G-monster on board the train(that is if it found it's way there). Ada most likely be dead(or not). The events in RE4 would ended up with the white house taken over. Several variables. My head hurts now.

I cant believe that Leon is going to die so I think this game have two types of ending one that Leon die and the other one that he doesn't die. I will chose the one that Leon doesn't die...

Leon better not die in this or thats just gonna ruin all of capcoms work, and it better have more stratergy than RE 5

I personally look forward to this game if they dont drop the ball in the end on it. This helps add to the game since you know there had to of been more survivors in the city besides just the ones we're familiar with. Carlos was sent to the city and was planned on being bombed so wouldnt it seem right to have them not knowing the city was nuked and doing umbrellas dirty work like that Russian guy (Carlos' team mate) did? And you saw how ineffective bullets were on Mr. X so dont question the horror part of the game yet, he may stalk you thruout the game like he did with Leon. Speaking of leon what do you think Mr. X was doing the whole time before he goes all ooga booga on Leon? o.o He couldnt have been following him the whole time.

RE series should be both scary and action oriented......i don't see why we need to compromise one for the other.....RE4 changed things for the whole series and now RE has lost a lot of the scare factor....but it still rocks and who knows the perfect balance can be struck between horror and action in one of the future RE games...this looks interesting....

um, i hope they didn't just decide to do this because they have no other ideas though, i gotta admit, it does kinda give that aura. i mean, it could work out but i doubt this will be the game to return the series to its former glory. oh well, at least now i'll be able to return to one of my favorite game locations of all time and with more people.

Man, Capcom has come a LLLOOOONNNNGGGG way with the series. I, for better or worse, loved RE5 (a lot more than RE4... I don't care for how emo Leon has become) . I think that it would be more beneficial for Capcom to rewrite the first 3 games of the series to fit the Co-op aspect they created in RE5.... If I'm gonna be stepping back into Racoon, I would really love to have a buddy go through the originals with me than this L4D/Dead Island thing they're trying.... Time will tell.

So what? Most RE games have different mechanics. Besides, it's not seems so different to me. Same city, same enemies, only characters different. Lately Capcom is lacking any new ideas. They're only making games for their main frainchises, as RE or Street Fighter.

@Kyrylo How is this a sequel, its not even a prequel. Its like saying MK9 is a sequel to to MK1-8. The mechanics have been completely changed and this is a completely different game from all the other resident evils, the only thing this thing has anything to with the old RE games is that it is the same universe nothing else.

I hope they make R.E. Operation Raccoon City exciting with the same HD or 3D background gameplay, story campaign and the character's appearances to look very realistic from Resident Evil 5. But I look forward to playing this game as Umbrella's security service's elite soldiers. I like to play as Vector because of his cloaking technology and his gas mask with a hood over it!

i now why do they hate it, they want it to be like the old Resident Evil 1,2, and 3 and if its true i agree with them we are tired of aiming and shooting but what can we do....

Interesting. I hope this gives a bit more insight into Umbrella's military background. That's something I feel was kinda left out. And maybe...more info about Hunk? XD And @mickyfinn84, if you were in charge of safeguarding Umbrella's BOW secrets and knew that S.T.A.R.S. were a major problem of revealing them, remembering that S.T.A.R.S. is a branch of the RCPD, wouldn't you consider all RCPD members as at least a secondary threat in revealing your company's secrets and therefore treat them in the same respect as S.T.A.R.S., despite how long that person has been a member? You wouldn't know whether any S.T.A.R.S. operatives mentioned anything to the rest of the RCPD or not, so why would you take the risk of ignoring them?

Yeah, yeah... Capcom, keep doing sequels... Not that I expect something new.

I like how its Racoon City, but in new hd graphics. There should be a RE collection on PS3.

I can't believe all the hate!!!! I mean, I personally had 5 as my favorite and I have the entire collection, including the goofy shooting games on the wii. This game looks like it is going back between 3 and 4 as it has a nemesis like character that just took shot after shot and gave an evil stare, and it has Leon in a Resident Evil 2 like uniform. I honestly don't get what all the hate is about. Sure it has more action than the original ones, but it looks like they are taking steps back due to so many people disliking 5 and the lack of horror in the game, even though that was my favorite (yep, I know I'm the minority here don't smack talk me about it please). I would just like more than just "Oh god, they've ruined the series" answer from people. Show some reasoning!

Is this really a Resident Evil game? What did they do with the series? Resident Evil is becoming worse each year. I hope I am wrong and this game is good, but for me looks awful.

its becoming less of horror game , and becoming usual tactical game , which we hve a lot , should hve continued from re5 with leon in it

It looks quite interesting, but I wished they would have released next game in MAIN SERIES, that is RESIDENT EVIL 6. Sigh.. But i will be checking this game out for sure.

Wow finally Racoon city is back again.The trailer shows more of the multiplayer elements that are going to be in this game.But they should have continued the Nemesis program because Nemesis was the best monster ever.RE5 was not good but this game might be interesting.

If you asked me I'd say it looks like umbrella was adminstrating the foxdie vaccinations to there special ops units. wait tell the russians hear about this. well and ya say so long to the resident evil story???

Thats interesting..... Use zombies as human shield (lolz) And killing the big guy (pretty cool) U.S.S Delta Team vs. Spec Ops Field (That sounds like Team Deathmatch) Characters: 1.Spectre 2. Vector 3. Beltway 4.Bertha 5. Leon K. (As a Target to kill and that's pretty much f@*ked up) But looking at this trailer and seeing cool things in there.... I will buy this game because I'm a FAN of Resident Evil Games. :D

Wasn't the start of RE2 Leon's first day as a cop and he's not a S.T.A.R.S member, so why would he be a target for umbrella? I agree with Norrie91 give us RE2 hd and RE3 hd while your at it.

I like the concept of the action of the game, like it looks like Socom meets Zombies! That's SICK! Like, at about 1:26 on the video, it looks INTENSE!

Why on earth would we want to kill Leon? He's by far the best playable character in Resident Evil! Add on the fact this apparently take's place during Resident Evil 2 this game makes absolutley no sense at all! What I want is Resident Evil 2 HD on Xbox Live and/or Playstation Network!

Super cool trailer.... BUT WAIT I have a bad feeling or going to hate the storyline, even the storyline is great. Meaning it can be a great story itself, but not a good Resident Evil story. They called it "spin off", it's more like "reimagine" to me. I agree and will like to see RE Outbreak on PS3, even though not many people like it.
