a very well polished and good looking resident evil game. pity about the length......

User Rating: 7.5 | Resident Evil: Dead Aim PS2
Resident Evil Dead aim is the third in the survivor series but is also known as gun survivor 4 in japan. The game made an announcement around 2002 and surprised people about how much work that has gone into the title.
the plot is all based after the events of raccoon city. A researcher under the name of Morpheus Duvall has infected the entire ship with zombies and has unleashed B.O.W.S all around it. you take control of Bruce, a anti-umbrella pursuit member sent in to prevent and investigate the matter.

Navigation/traveling is all done in third person but combat is still done in first person. you can connect a G-con or usb mouse to aim at the zombies or just use a simple ps2 controller in order to kill. the game itself can be defeated in under a hour in a easy setting. The enemies and bosses of the game look very original and well detailed (i would like to also point out that one shot to the head DOES kill a zombie instantly)

The graphics look superb, and the blood effects look cool. you can obviously tell on first glance that there has been a lot of work put into the title. level design is good too.

As i mentioned before the game itself is too short, as it can easily be beaten in about one hour on easy. for a resident evil title, it kinda stands out from the others.

Dialog is cheesy and the story isnt very well explained like in other RE titles. characters are quite unlike-able and fong lings Chinese accent sucks. as for the main villain, (Morpheus) i have not come across a more disturbing character since Alfred Ashford. both of them can relate well because 10-20 minutes into the game, we witness Morpheus undergo a serious sex-change mutation into a lady-tyrant (as for Alfreds weird obsession for his sister)

nothing more can be said about this game other then its short, easy and that its a shooter. i couldnt help but feel kinda ripped off with the length and how how much i paid for it (re titles don't come cheap)
