Dead Aim is not the hit it could have been, but it´s better then the deadfull Survivor series.

Resident Evil Dead Aim, is the forth Resident Evil Survivor/Gun Survivor (in japan) game in the series. Yes the deadfull Survivor series. But this time, it´s more on the right track. Through it´s still could have been much better. Of coruse the game is a spin off, and amost have nothing to do with the stroy from RE1, RE2, RE3, and RE:CVX, through the Raccoon City incdent is named. The only thing it has in commen is Umbrella, T-Virus, and Morphus (which is from RE0). You play as Bruce Mcgiven who is a goverment agent. He is sent on a luxux ship, where is is to catch the games main villian Morphus. But everything goes wrong, when Bruce finds out that the ship has been infected with the T-Virus (we woulden´t have gussed). On your way you meet a chinase agent named Fong Ling, which is a bit Matrix like. There are some sections where you play as her by the way. The gameplay has been improved from Survivor. You explore in thrid-person, and shoot in first-person. Belive it or not, it does actulley work. You have a great view over your enemy. Too bad that the same problem is still here. Enemies dosen´t react to where you hit them. So a head shot dosen´t kill them. Then game suffers some of the same problems from past games, and even packs some new ones. There is still a lot of backtracking, and you can´t discard items. Actully you don´t need discard key items, only ammo. When you find a ammo box for your handgun, you get 30 spare bullets, but when you find new ammo, it takes up it´s own space, so you quickly run out of space for ammo. Strangely you can carry umlimited weapons, and key/healing items. You exploration of the ship is also very limited. Like Silent Hill, you can never unlock all doors. Some doors remain unlocked throughout the game. When switching to Fong Ling, the diffircens are none. She plays just like Bruce. The graphics has improved a bit. Locations look great, and enemys look fantasic (even if a variaton could have been used), but character models look like arse. The are grim, and ugly. The sound is the only thing thats the same. The voice acting is very poor, and music is close to terrible. Sound effects are thin, and boring. The game is very short. You can complete the game in short 6 hours, and never touch it again, since theres no replay value. You only play as Fong Lig insted of Bruce, and reversed. There is of coruse other difficultys, but you won´t bother. You gain the normal ranks D,C,B,A, and S. The only thing you unlock is all weapons when you start your next play through, which you won´t. Overall Dead Aim shows improvment of the Survivor series, but not enough to rate it as a great RE game for a long time. Through it´s a good game, it only worth a rent.
