This game is surely to blow your mind with it's old-school horror scares and dangerously hard bosses!

Resident Evil: Code Veronica X is a game no one is likely to forget anytime soon. With it's much improved graphics and action packed cutscenes, this game will most certainly be near the top of the Resident Evil series.

Set on an island overrun by zombies and crazy lunatics, Claire Redfield must escape the island with the truth and her own life. The game starts with a mindblowing CGI cutscene of Claire running through a building in Paris, while a large helicopter outside is blowing it to bits in search for Claire. It ends up that Claire gets caught and is sent to a prison on Rockfort island. Claire wakes up in the prison cell to find the door open and the security officer sitting back sleeping. Then the game starts and Claire manages to get out of the prison and into.....a cemetary! Then loads of zombies come out of the graves and Claire needs to run. Pretty soon she meets up with a guy called Steve, who talks and looks a lot like a baby.

The controls are okay, somewhat slow. The camera angles kinda screw the controls up a bit and that's really the only reason I gave it a mark down from 10 out of 10.

Resident Evil: Code Veronica X has quite a large amount of monsters such as average zombies, zombie dogs, bats, giants worms, Bandersnatches, Hunters, Albinoids, Tyrant and Nosferatu. The creatures in this game are very hard to kill, especially Bandersnatches! As well as a lot of creatures you also get a few good weapons:

Combat Knife- Only useful in close combat with zombies or dogs.

Handgun- Zombies can be killed with about 3 shots. Other monsters will take much longer.

Bow Gun- A crossbow that does less damage than the handgun.

Sub Machine Guns- Fires a long stream of bullets. Best kept for bosses.

Shotgun- Highly effective with large groups of enemies.

Assault Rifle- One of the most powerful weapons in the game. It will only take a few seconds before a filled room of zombies is emptied.

Grenade Launcher- This weapon has a limited amount of ammo. Use it wisely.

Magnum- With a single bullet it will take out most enemies in the game.

Sniper Rifle- Shoots very slowly, but when combined with a scope can be fired extremely accurately.

Linear Launcher- Available for only one boss fight. It has unlimited ammo, but charges very slowly.

Well that's all of the guns...I think.

If you haven't already picked this game up, I recommend you do so. Another reason I moved it down a notch, was that this game is really what made Resident Evil move away from survival horror and into the realm of survival adventure.
