There is no reason not to play this game if you haven't played before

User Rating: 9.5 | BioHazard WII
As much as i wish i had, i never played this game for other system. When i first bought this game, it was after the exitement of playing Resident Evil 4, and when i first played it, i hated it, due to its controls and fixed camera angles. Now, after i played RE3, which is te same formula, i gave this game another try, and i pity myself for not doing it before.

GRAPHICS:
While nothing has been updated for the Game Cube version, the graphics are still great, despite some akward face expressions. 4.8/5

SOUND:
There is basicly no music in the game, but the sound effects are perfect for the atmosphere of the game. Besides, the voice acting is way better than on the origina version, and is kinda good. 4.8/5

GAMEPLAY, STORY AND CONTROLS:
The game is a survivor horror. You play as either Jill Valentine or Chris Redfield, members os the Team Alpha of S.T.A.R.S, who go on a mansion to search for Team Bravo. Upon entering there, they realise thing aren't quite normal there, and you have to explore it and discovere the secrets of the Umbrella Corporation. The story is nothing special, but stands well on its own, and started the story arc about the Umbrella Corporation's mysteries and secrets, that lasted the 3 original games, Code Veronica and Zero, which is kinda good. On the mansion, you will note that ammo and health isn't exactaly plentfull there, so you have to be carefull, cause every single bullet is important. This game originaly started the genre known as Survivor Horror, which takes these concepts of not much ammo, dark ambients and little health recovery items. In the game, you have to kill zombies and other monsters, but you can avoid all them, exept a few bosses. Killing zombies normaly is easy, and at times boring, but other enemies are faster and make the game much more chalenging. In a nutshell, the gameplay is suspensfull and incredibly fun. Though i never found the game to be scary, i often found myself unsetled by the atmosphere and setting of the game. One of the main aspects is exploring the mansion, as you have basicly no set goal in the game, so it really is kinda cryptic at times, though the puzzles never dispoint or feel out of place. In one word, the game is: FUN!. Shooting enemies never stops being tense and suspensfull. It will take you about 5 to 7 hours to beat the game, and those that have played it before may breeze in it in about 4 hours. Also, there is some replayability in the form of playing as different characters. I played it as Jill Valentine, who has an extra item space and more defesive weapons, besides starting with a lockpick ("Jill, here is a lockpick"). Chris has one less item space, but (from what i guess) is stronger and starts with a lighter, so he has to find Old Keys to open the doors that Jill would open with the Lockpick. I know i'm not stoping, but this game has so much that i could almost write a book about it. The controls take sometime to get used to, but they are great. You controls either character as a tank, and use the B button to get your weapon ready, and fire with A. You can also use the GameCube controler, which works very well. 5/5
