"The most underappreciated resident evil game"
In this review I'll talk about zero and try to ignore 5, i'll review that later.
the story for RE 0 is a day before RE 1, which I find shocking, how did this all happen a DAY before the 1st and no one notice the remain in 1st game but, since this is made after the 1st its definite forgiveable, anyway RE 0 take place a day before RE 1, BETA or rebecca team are investigating when all of the sudden they find out that a ex marine is on the lose and is suspected to be dangerous, then Rebecca finds a train that has been overun by leeches and the marine Billy coen.
RE 0 is more action which ok the game isn't as scary as 1-4 but is still a survival horror game, the control are the same as the 1st with a new coop feature like RE 5, the AI is better than RE 5 since the computer won't waste your Ammo but it hesitates unlike RE 5, but I guest is better since you always have ammo, this game is very forgiving in ammo but not like it will help with some of the enemy.
The leech monster are terrifying, and disgusting, I remember I was in a large room like 25 feet away from one, but those thing run fast like sonic fast,okay that is an exageration,but they do run fast and whats worst their hand can stretch far, plus they explode when they die and it does quite a large amount of damage, and if you don't move it the left over leeches will get you.USE THE ROCKET LAUNCHER FIRE ROUND BEST WAY TO KILL THEM, since they won't explode if you burn them.
2nd Apes the apes are just annoying they team up on you, and if they corner you its game over. they easy to kill but if your corner is over.SHOTGUN good for crowd but no great.
3rd FROGS I HATE THIS WITH A PASSION, THEY WILL KILL YOU NO MATTER WHAT, well their easy to kill but if you want to make it in time for the bonus avoid this, these appear only when your rebecca and will swallow you whole, luckyly they only appear in the end, but one they get you GAME OVER.
I really like playing as Billy since rebecca dies rather quickly, overall killing zombies is fun,and i really like the leech hunting game, but It for a resident evil game it fail an important part which is puzzle, the puzzle are easy and are just dissapointingly easy, oddly enough RE puzzle have been going down hill since this but I still enjoy the experience to the end, and it is, I hope not the last RE game that use the old gameplay, I really hope Capcom in later instalment add the ability to change to this gameplay, I actually like the over the back shooting style of RE 4 alot but I still would Love reliving the whole experince using the format, Im not saying the old gameplay is better cause is not , but what i am saying a bonus option to change the gameplay at the end of the game would really double the gameplay.
The game is one of the great old type of resident evil, I recommend to survival horror fans of the 1st if you haven't play it yet, or rent it, any RE fan shouldn't miss the begining of how wverything began.
