Resident Evil 6 User Review
After some flaws in RE 5 and a disaster such as RE: Racoon city I can count that Capcom redeemed itself with RE6.

First of all sure - RE6 brings a lot of new things onto the scene and many people did not like it. But take a look at the game from the other perspective - from a fresh new side. 3 different campaigns each with it's own features. Leon's campaign is more traditional - zombies, dark atmosphere and such. Surely every die hard RE fan will love that. Chris's campaign is more action-like like RE5. J'avo present a harder challenge with more intense action. Jake's campaign is more stealthy and relies more on martial arts. Surely it isn't fully embedded in the game but let capcom try. Jake is a new hero after all and except the icy stage everything was perfect. Also the Martial Arts system felt stiff and unfinished and Jake's character in overall seemed a bit weak (Wesker's son - oh, right. How cliche that is especially since never ever in any RE game was it mentioned that Wesker had someone close to him. Especially judging by his character. Oh well... ) Of course Ustanak was not on par with Nemesis but it is almost just as good in terms of the pressure. Secret campaign was a nice addition as well. (no spoilers from me on this one. Storyline is intriguing as it should be and script together with perfect voice acting immerse you into the game. All the crappy partner stuff from RE5 is gone. (remember that RE5 is nearly impossible to play first time with AI partner). Big handshake on that to capcom. All partner related features are now seamless and free of bugs. Bad things: some boss battles are not so great as in RE5 (no special methods and such to figure out), but it is great nevertheless. Game is insanely hard on the harder difficulties and even with infinite magnum it is hell on earth. Definitive meaning of the word - SURVIVE, though there shouldn't be so many (and I mean INSANELY many) enemies. It is in overall a great game which redeemed Capcom after the failure of RE: RC and I hope people will understand why.

An over-the-top sequel that will feel completely wrong to most RE fans.

Resident Evil 6 is a solid third person shooter, although it's not a survival horror game anymore.

Is it disappointing? Yes, but that doesn't make it bad as it manages to still be a good bit of fun.

RE6 is best played co-op. This should be called survival ammo, not survival horror.
