Playing Resident Evil 6 is an amazing journey of quick-time-events and just the right amount of door opening. I highly recommend trying Resident Evil 6 for yourself. With 4 campaigns at 8-10 hours each, RE6 has managed to pay it forward, and show that it can adapt with the changing styles that gamers are accustomed to. With improved third person controls, players shoot on the move solo or with a coop partner online. The survival horror aspect is visited again in force, but only in one of the 3 main campaigns, while it would have been nice to see RE6 fully return to the scary themed atmosphere of its earlier titles, the developers have managed to braid together 4 campaigns into an action adventure survival from horrific events kind of game that players will appreciate. Give Resident Evil 6 a chance to grow on you. Through any frustration you'll encounter in RE6, be assured that once you understand the perspective and challenges placed on the gameplay, you will be less averted by a game review by those that eat games for a living. Having a negative opinion is welcome, but the average gamer has likely not been tossed a game for free to reticule and review improperly. My score for Resident Evil 6 is 8.0. But I gave it a 10 on the ticker, because if Kevin VanOrd can get away with extremism and a 4.5, than I should be allowed to respond with a high end score to counter his without consequence. Resident Evil 6 deserves better than GS senior editor Kevin VanOrd's 4.5 Poor review score. Shame on you Kevin VanOrd. Moderators, may soon remove this review based on its truth.
