4.5 out of 10? Really Gamespot, get real. Yes the game is flawed, but this game is 6.5 all the way to the bank. I do find the constant cut scenes slightly irritating but you have to except this RE outing as half game, half movie, a little like the last Medal Gear Solid. The variety of zombies and the cinematic experience is very enjoyable. I can only think that Gamespot were hoping for a HD clone of Resident Evil 4 and feel disappointed, and I kind of understand that as RE6 has next to no fear factor and is much more action orientated. I also miss the puzzle aspect, which is probably my favourite part of the previous Resident Evil games but just because it is different to it's predecessors that doesn't warrant giving it such a low score. This game is by no means as good as Resident Evil 1, 2 or 4 but I think it beats 5 hands down, and considering that Gamespot gave RE5 a score of 8.5 I just don't see how they arrived at 4.5 for RE6, which is a well crafted evolution of the franchise. Well worth playing in my view.
