- "Almost, but not quite"
I'll explain why I give it 7.5 first. "Where did the other 2.5 go?" you ask me. So here it is :
First off, the game is fun and all when you play it for the first time. That's till you get to the later chapters or when you restart gameplay.
The story is quite OK with me, just that some of the cutscenes I find annoying. The repetitive part is when you go new game + after beating your first gameplay, basically you replay all the chapters (of course) and then you collect ammo when it runs out. Repeat dishing zombies and stuff, yeah.
For me, the bosses, puzzles, the swamp chapter and the final boss fight doesn't get boring, other than that? Gets boring easily.
Let's talk about the good part. There are a few boss fights that are quite cool (No spoilers) such as one level where you fight an ogre like boss in the middle of nowhere with your turrets or one level where you fight a mutated guy (turned into monster) in the sea with your turrets. The graphics of the game are downright cool, that depends on what Video Card you are using. But the system requirements for the game are quite low.
Co-op is what majorly boosts your gameplay experience. Having a friend player playing with you could be quite fun and all. After all, you can exchange items and beat bosses more easily.
Now for what COULD make this game better. First off, notice any difference between L4D and this? L4D has Versus Mode + Survival Mode + Campaign. RE5 only has the campaign. And Capcom totally didn't put the horror factor into RE5.
7.5

Presented tremendously well, RE5 looks great and plays (mostly great). It grows on you as you learn its quirks.

Resident Evil 5 bring back a few things, but removes the real Resident Evil stuff making this game, in simple words: BAD

I am a big fan of the series but I do not like the way it is going. Resident Evil 5 is a good action game, I must say.
