What did they do to Resident Evil?
In previous Resident Evil games, the gameplay has been centered around getting away from the zombies, hence "survival horror", but in this one it is centered around shooting down the "zombies" to progress. I put in the quotes because in this game and 4 the enemies are not true zombies, but people infected by some sort of parasite, but I don't really get it fully, as the plot is awful.
An important thing they took out was the fixed camera angles. A lot of people liked this idea, but any true RE fan would admit it makes it less scary. Instead, the camera is sitting on Chris's shoulder, like a Gears of War rip-off, which the game basically is.
Overall, I do not consider this a true RE game, it is an OK game overall, but a bad in terms of RE standards.
