Drop the scares, add co-op? Atrocious Right?

I played all of the Resident Evil games before this, I loved them, I mean they paved the way for other great survival horrors. I must admit Resident Evil 5 sounds like trash to most fans of the original series; but it turns out to hold out as a great game (by itself). The graphics are top notch, I'd say they stump some of the games coming out this year (IMO), though this game is severely lacking in the scares department (a mature 10 YO could play through this at midnight) it adds co-op which is nice... if you have someone to play with... since the game is so heavily leaning on its co-op, playing by yourself is downright atrocious, but if you have a buddy this game will be well worth your time. Anyone familiar with the series will notice a handful of changes, such as a free moving (over the shoulder) camera, coop, accessing the inventory no longer pauses the game, and a few more. If your coming to have fun with a friend, or if you played the originals just keep an open mind and this may entertain you for quite a while.
