Resident Evil 5 came out with quite some controversy. It sucked and we had mixed opinions on it. Oh and everyone thought it was racist.
STORY
RE5 takes a direction to the desert in a gritty Africa setting. You play as Chris a long side Sheva. The T-Virus has infected the large continent and of course it's the Umbrella's fault and our Garry Stu antagonist Albert Wesker.
A long the way you will meet ONE quirky character who is rather lame and we kill him anyway. The characters have no charm of the 4th one.
GAMEPLAY
Resident Evil 5 is as I said so violent it isn't fun to play. Mainly it has no pacing. The controls suck, Sheva sucks, the enemy AI are as apt as ever though but it isn't saying much. There is no exploration and you are constantly fighting enemies. Little time for puzzles. There is no grace from previous entries. No depth. I mean there is alot of challenge but still. It has a real time inventory which I must say is the pits here. The game is full of quicktime events and it's rather a brainless frustrating experience. There is no survival horror here.

GRAPHICS
Well like most garbage video games of the late 2000's they all seem to have very beautiful 3D graphics here and RE5 is probably some of the best seen on the PS3 from a third party. Beautiful character designs, sharp textures, scary enemies, lighting effects that make everything feel and look hot and dreadful, nice animations (except for mouths). It's violent that's for sure. If you love violence, this is your go to. But it's far to gory to enjoy.
SOUND
Intense sounding but nothing remarkable.
OVERALL
Resident Evil 5 is hard for me to recommend because not even I play it that much. It's a weak entry in the series. Just stick with 4 and you'll be good.
