@tHeHaUnTeD Greg was undoubtedly the greatest editor Gamespot ever had. None of the current group of editors comes close.

@KubilayHan : I definitely don't suggest that you play Resident Evil 4...perhaps your money would be better spent on going back to school,getting a grammar teacher,or getting a hobby besides contributing worthless rubbish in the form of a comment?
@KubilayHan I... I don't understand... how old are you? Like 7? Because I refuse to believe that a rational adult would think or speak in the fashion you do. I'm the one with a numb brain? Because "Darkwing Duck" and "Tiny Toon Adventures" are completely intellectually stimulating.
@KubilayHan it doesn't have characters from previous resident evil games, and they're weren't the same types of enemies? By that logic, Call of Duty 4 isn't COD because it has no characters from previous games and you fight Russians instead of Nazis. By that logic, Skyrim isn't an Elder Scrolls game because it didn't have characters from previous games and you fought dragons instead of demons from Oblivion. By that logic, Command and Conquer: Red Alert isn't a Command and Conquer game because it's the Soviets vs. Allies instead of GDI vs. Nod. Your argument is invalid.
@KubilayHan How is this not Resident Evil? Does it have RE on the box? Check. Are there characters from previous games? Check. References to previous games? Check. What more do you want? You can whine and moan about a game that won Gamespot GOTY, then you obviously haven't lived, kiddo.
@KubilayHan Nope, I'm not mad. Why? Because I enjoy RE4 a great deal. Why? Because it doesn't control like a brink covered in steaming crap, like the originals did. Also, I'm not mad because I can you grammar and punctuation in my comments properly.
@KubilayHan I'm glad you're not playing this game. You shouldn't be playing any video games. What you should be doing is learning how to write.
@RESIDENTEVIL_VI this game for kids this is an adventure game not horror game and this game is a comedy game if you think carefully you will understand everything RE 4 real name is Spanish Killer for kids:)i'm not playing this thing because i'm not kid finally this game is not Resident Evil!!!!
@Bog101 true, but no where near as much as you put in. After my first playthrough, I just didn't upgrade anything until Chapter 3 when I got the better versions of the handgun and so forth and I was able to upgrade it far more as opposed to when I had to sell off my previously upgraded basic handgun. But as I said before, it's just the only thing I don't like about the game. Not sure why I got thumbs down, because that's a big compliment.
The absolute only thing I didn't like about this game is how (the first time you play it) you upgrade your pistol and shotgun and so forth, seeing the awesome result. But then a few hours later you acquire a new handgun and shotgun that's much better than the ones you already upgraded and put your money into. You were basically forced to sell off your upgraded ones for the blank better ones and upgrade those, but you were all out of cash from upgrading the previous ones. Of course, any second playthrough you just won't upgrade anything until you get the best type of weapon and upgrade those, but it's kinda a kick in the balls when you don't know about it.
@3kratos3 Absolutely.....this game is AAA material, and easily in my top 5 list. Also, I have to say that this video review is great, one of my favorites.
I first got this game about two months after it came out for Gamecube and i'm still playing it about 7 years later now, in fact i just played some of a new file of it yesterday and am going to play some more of Resident Evil 4 after I write this comment( and still on a Gamecube no less)
that's the best game i've ever played and i'll never change my mind about that by the time
@ChiefFreeman. HD Release!!! I didn't know but im definitely going to buy it. I only play my 360 unless I use my gamecube to play re4 so this will be great. I guess now i can beat it 10 more times in HD!!!
@Bog101. I hear you. Resident Evil 4 is, in my opinion, the greatest video game ever made. Over 6 years since its release and my opinion hasn't changed, even though Half Life 2, Silent Hill 2 and GTA San Andreas came close. It still offers fantastic value and gameplay, and the HD rerelease on the Xbox 360 and PS3 this Autumn will be fantastic!
the least 10 years i was actually playing quility consoles that people have actually heard of, maybe thats why i never heard from this one... besides why are people thumbing me down just because i never heard from a console anyway, some people need to get a life
