Read gamespots review for a overview but here are some important notes to consider you might not know:
This game is challenging even on easy, you cannot buy health or ammo from the occassional merchant. Pickups are not as frequent as you would like and to top it off there are no cheats at all. Unlimited ammo can be unlocked however after the game is finished
This game is not what you expect from a action adventure, the game is a scary shootor with elements of survival horror. Instead of a first person shooter, you aim over the shoulder and cannot move and shoot at the same time.
The game is very good for the ps2 and its easy to overlook the dated graphics as the game is better than some next gen games. Physics and enemy reactions are to notch. The levels are fairly linear but some areas are big and offer multiple paths.
Watch a gameplay video to get a idea of what i mean by combat and horror.
Limited health and ammo may scare you away, but if you know what you're getting into, you will find a great game with alot of extras including merceraries and other mini games.
