I have been playing Resident Evil since the first release on the PS1, and then I played Resident Evil 2, 3 and now 4. (I have yet to try the other games however). What Resident Evil 4 does game play wise will bring gamers who had no interest in this series at all from the start and bring them in to this series for the first time with a great gaming experience. Sadly words cannot describe how well this game really plays out; it's something you will need to play for yourself in order to really get the full effect of this great game.
Some people have played the Game Cube version and won’t even touch the PS2 copy of the game for whatever reason. Most common one is "Better Graphics"; even so it's not like day and night. The extra features in the PS2 copy of the game will make it worth having a tiny lack of eye candy and more overall game content. As you play through the main story as Leon you will come across Ada Wong. For those that remember Resident Evil 2 know exactly who she is. As you play through this the main missions you will come across her a few times, leaving somewhat of a confused thought in your mind to why she’s here, and how certain things unfolded. In the PS2 copy you will have a chance to play from Ada Wong's prospective of what she really was doing thought your main mission which is a great bonus for those that are looking to get this version. You will also have mini-game Project Ada, which will unlock a nice treat for you in her main missions.
I wont be explaining about the story at all however because Resident Evil really was known for a Horror type game and what you don't know makes that effect just that much better. However it's not like any other Resident Evil game made, Resident Evil 4 adds some action packed gaming and a brand new aiming system never before seen. You can now aim with a laser site to target where you want to fire with a behind the back camera.
There are some other exclusive PS2 features that you can check online for and believe me its well worth the price of $19.99 (Most common price) to get a copy of this game.

Simply an amazing game, if you haven't played this you should. The mixture of horror and action is fantastic.
