Still holds up well but aren't we getting a bit to many Resident Evil 4 ports.
Story
Leon Kennedy is sent to rescue the presidents daughter from an unknown cult known as Los Illuminados and get rid of the parasite that was injected into them.
Gameplay
Resident Evil has had a change of camera now giving the player an over the shoulder view and an aiming red laser to show where they are aiming. The game is fast paced unlike previous entires that were tense and creepy.
Along the way you get new guns that can be upgraded by a travelling Merchant and also sell him Treasures for cash. The enemies you shall face aren't zombies more like villagers who will hunt you down in packs and even wield weapons like pitchforks,dynamite,spears,crossbows and some even wield chainsaws.
After you get Ashley you are forced to protect her and yourself because she has a life bar like you and you do too. If she either dies or gets carried through a door by an enemy then its mission failed.
After you have beat the game you get extras known as Mercarnies a high score shooting game where you take down enemies in a time limit, Assignment Ada a little bit of a mission type game and also Seperate Ways to see what happened in Adas story and you get secret costumes and guns for doing these as well.
Though it is still a great game it does have its faults. The controls aren't perfect. It can take time to get use to them and it is a bit dissapointing that no new features were added. There is an online leaderboard but they could have added something a bit more.
Presentation
It does look different on a PS3 with a HD TV but it doesn't look to different after that from what you have seen on the Wii,Gamecube or PS2 which is a bit of a shame really. It feels like Capcomn thought they could just throw it out as it is because its such an amazing game which it is.
Lastability
It shall take about 10 hours to go through the main game but there is Seperate Ways which should take about 4 or 5 hours. Mercarnies as well and Assignment Ada as well as unlocking Professional Setting.
Overall Opinion
It's Resident Evil 4 what more is there to say its one of the best games ever to hit a console. It isn't a massive upgrade in terms of visuals and not much trophy support only 12 but it is still a game that if you haven't played before then do so. It's Resident Evil 4 thats all there is to say. If you haven't played it yet then why not start now.
