The Resident Evil Series is definetly one of the best series in all of gaming. Not only is it a mega-action series with tons of action, but it can also scare you a lot. But Resident Evil 4 should definetly be considered not only the best Resident Evil Game, but in the whole genre, and one of the greatest games ever made. In Resident Evil 4, you rejoin as an American agent know as Leon S. Kennedy. If you played most of the Resident Evil games, you'll likely remember being him as a rookie cop of Raccoon City in Resident Evil 2. The President's daughter, Ashley Graham, was mysteriously kidnapped by a group of unknown people while walking home from University, and was believed to have been sighted in a rural area in Europe. You are supposed to go down there and rescue her. When you first start the game, you ask one man if he has seen her, and he then tries to kill you, but he's not a zombie. You will later find hostile locals and even zombies as you make your way to rescue her.

There are a lot of horror scenes in Resident Evil 4. From getting chased by the fearsome "El Gigantic" to a bunch of zombies in your path is scary and memorable. And there is nothing more scary and nerve recking than a person with a chainsaw about to kill you. The controls may be hard at first, but will get really easy quickly. Though some prefer the First-Person shooter mode instead, they shouldn't be worried as this is easy as well. Its simple to aim with the gun and fire, especially if they're near you.

There is a wide variety of weapons which are found in the game. There is a Handgun, Rifle, Shotgun, Knife, Punisher and many other weapons to keep you entertained and getting to defeat tougher enemies.

The game also has its own set of puzzles needed to access certain area's, open doors, etc. This proves that you not only need to have sharp shooting and knifing skills to defeat your enemies, but also brains in order know what to do in the puzzle, and to solve it.

There are also many boss fights that follow a pattern that you have to continue in order to defeat them (think of Ocarina of Time bosses). Though the bosses are likely to leave frustration, they still are quite amazing and are different from other video game bosses.

There are also great graphics in the game. Despite the fact that the Gamecube version looks a bit better and nicer, that does nothing to affect the beauty of the Playstation 2 version's graphics. The landscape of the game looks absolutely amazing, with many details in the natural environment and settlements found in the game.

The character models are another positive part of the graphics. They are complete with realistic looking hair, eyes and other things that make the character models great.

There is also many side missions that you do not have to do, but make the game more fun and more value to it. In doing these, you gain more control of stuff. Though some may just want to run through the game only focusing on quests, you can also backtrack and complete these side-missions and take your time to make the game more fun.

The game's cutscenes are also great. They feel like a more realistic feeling to the game when you see cutscenes, as it introduces characters and events into the game as you progress on. Though some may be tempted to skip them, they are worth watching especially the first time around to get some entertainment.

Though there is only one small problem with the game: dialogue. Though the voice execution and the exciting cutscenes are great, the things they say are goofy to downright stupid. You will wonder why they sound like a children's story character with some things and why someone had the guts on the planet to say it. I also want to say what I think of the game in simple words. This is definetly one of my favourite games that I have ever played on any system in my entire lifetime. I have never seen any other game like this, and am glad that I got to experience of what should be on everybody's list as one of their favourite games they have ever played. I can't imagine what gaming or the genre itself would be like if this game was never made.

In conclusion, Resident Evil 4 is truly one of the greatest game's of all time, and there should be no doubt in and video game fanatic's mind to play this game. If you haven't played this game, you have missed a huge step in gaming that can't be replaced by almost any other game.
