Resident Evil 4 may be different from the previous games, but it happens to be the best Resident Evil game on the PS2.

Since 1996, Resident Evil was the ultimate horror hit for the original PlayStation created by Capcom, after making various platformers such as Mega Man. The series carried on for years and it did have its ups and downs. Now it comes to the most horrific and most exciting Resident Evil game yet for the PlayStation 2. That game is Resident Evil 4.

You play as a US agent named Leon, who encounters Spanish immigrants living in the town of Racoon City who are about to kill you. Your main mission is to search for the President's daughter named Ashley, but your main objective is to stay alive. Can you stand up against freaks with chainsaws, backstabbing women, and crazed men? If you played the previous Resident Evil game, this will be a challenge you'll face on the PlayStation 2.

The game has a well-put storyline which will keep your booty on the couch playing until you can't play no more. The graphics are excellent and well done that when your head gets chopped off in the game by a chainsaw- wielding freak, it looks realistic and innovative. Next is the gameplay. Very different from the previous games, but puts you right into the action right behind Leon's back. The game will take 20-35 hours on your first run through, and the game is challenging, so whatever you do, think fast and keep your hands on that controller.

The game is much similar to the Gamecube version, but if you are looking for a Resident Evil game to scare the crud out of your wife or daughter, pick this game up quickly before they run out.
