In 1996 Capcom shook the world with their controversial yet inspiring survival horror title, Resident Evil. We've seen the series progress and we've seen countless spin-offs such as Outbreak and Dead Aim, However Resident Evil 4 has once again raised the bar for the survival horror genre. Resident Evil 4 pulls away from the usual formula which we've been used to the past ten years and gives the Resident Evil series a much needed face-lift. Leon is back and this time around he's certainly no rookie. He's been dispatched to a remote region of Spain to find the President's daughter, Ashley. Umbrella are long gone and a new threat in the form of a virus known as Las plagas has surfaced after generations of being sealed away by the frightening and utterly weird Ramon Salazar. The core of Resident Evil is still somewhat the same as it has always been-- action mixed with gut-wrenching terror that fans of the series have come to expect. Resident Evil 4 is a classic and is one of the greatest games ever perceived.
