So there you have it. The game plays unlike anything else, looks and sounds phenomenal (especially on the GC, but make no mistake, the PS2 version features graphics that surpass almost every other title available on that system), and is jam-packed with play value. It is anything but a run and gun shooter, but for visceral thrills it equals or surpasses any such game available (at least on PS2/GC). In short, this game definitely belongs in your library, and you will be very sorry years from now if you didn't play through it while it was still hot. Don't waste time or money renting--buy RE4 as soon as you can.
