Leons Jacket?

Is it possible to keep Leons leather jacket? I was just looking in the instruction booklet and it shows sceens later on like after the lake and before the church.If so how do you keep his jacket?

You cannot keep Leons leather jacket. One of the Ganados stole it while he was unconscious. According to TWIldes plot analysis, in the PS2 versions "Separate Ways" scenario, Ada sees a dead Ganado wearing the jacket. I have not seen this for myself, but Leons jacket is definitely history.

You can't get his jacket back, but after you beat the game, there is an alternate costume available for Leon.
Unfortunately, its not the leather jacket

Leon's jacket gets taken while he's knocked out by Mendez when he meets Luis, it's stolen by a Ganado, the Ganado can be seen in Separate Ways (PS2, PC, Wii) when you play as Ada.
He's not supposed to recover the jacked, because he later on gets the Tactival Vest.
