- Sep 24, 2012 5:51 pm GMTI know, I know, for most of you this isn't a big deal because you can beat this game with a blind fold on. I'm not a hard core gamer, so something like this makes me feel very happy.

When you start off in the game, you get weak weapons, low ammo, and a small health bar. It seemed fine when playing on normal, but when you have every zombie on your tail walking at a very fast pace, it's hard to elimate all of them. But then it got to me, use the freaking tower. I collected most of the ammo, the shot gun, and a couple of gernades, and I was ready for this. A few times, I died, a couple of times, I manage to get rather far. Until the chain-saw zombie was behind the laddar and just WAITED for me to fall back down. Which I must say, Leon can fall at a great height like it was nothing... lol I got my neck sawed off and then came the final moment. The feeling of having the gernade blast away the last hord of zombies felt great. I collected the 10,000 PTAS or whatever they are called and I finished up with that level. I also realized that I could collect eggs from the chickens that walk around the game. I collected about 15 eggs, most of which were white or golden. Now I'm ready to play this game, I am ready to play this game on Pro for the second time (First time was on the Wii-Console).
I love playing this game. I'm glad they made it for the Xbox 360 because it gives me a chance to replay everything like it was new again. haha
I just wish they added a multiplayer mode to the mechinaries mode. That would of been bad-donkey!

Yeah, the Pro mode walkthrough recommends just running around the Pueblo for seven minutes, then collecting all the loot after the villagers leave.
That's what I did my first time through on both Normal and Pro difficulty levels.
Still, congrats on fighting through the Village. It's not easy.

It only shows up on the PS2 FAQs page for 4RE. Got me through my first Pro Mode game, along with the knight armor for Ashley.
Most every area has some trick to it that makes it a lot easier.

http://primal.wikia.com - Sep 28, 2012 8:58 pm GMTI got through the village with an odd glitch that I found.
In that one building across the shotgun house, I opened the door and immediately ran to the left, and started pushing the drawer to block the door. I stopped after a fraction of a second and the door closed. Then the enemies just stayed outside, and never bothered to come in. I heard them yelling and I heard a chainsaw revving, but they never decided to enter. I just stayed still for 7 minutes until the bell rang.
Anyone else experience this? - Oct 2, 2012 9:22 am GMTGreat! Now go beat RE5 on pro.

RE4 is probably harder imo excluding one of the Wesker fights and Jill. RE5 pro mode is just gimmicky it just forces you to stay really really really close to your partner because of 1 hit 3 second deaths. RE4 had to better with higher damage and some enemies have higher life and i swear i saw faster attack speeds on a few enemies. But i could have used alittle more health on normal enemies.

I'm in the process of beating professional myself, taking it piece by piece. I just beat one of the first parts in the castle, where you have to beat a bunch of enemies, lower the drawbridge, boost Ashley up to turn the cranks, and then defend her while she's doing it.
I swear, that room was made to consume ammo/get on one's nerves. No matter how flawless you think you are, some silly thing can always go wrong, like those crossbowmen pegging you once.

That's the Water Maze room, one of the toughest areas in the game, if not the toughest. There are later areas about as difficult, but with patience and care you'll have the upgraded weapons to handle them.
Not really possible for the Water Maze. I'll have the TMP, Red 9, and bolt action rifle all upgraded as far as possible at that point. The plain shotgun will have a single capacity upgrade. Good, solid weapons at that point, but no real good stoppers/one-hit-kills among them. And one-hit-kills are what Leon really needs on the upper level when baby-sitting Ashley.
The pressure switches on the lower area, plus the crank in the ground floor are tough enough, but the upper area's the worst kind of "escort mission", babysitting someone away from your character. Whenever playing the Water Maze room on a New Pro game I have to remind myself to use anything and everything helpful. It's okay to finish with an empty attaché case as long as Leon and Ashley get out of there alive.

Make an instrumental add a little vocal; take to the stage and make the people go loco! - Oct 26, 2012 12:03 pm GMTI think I'm finally going to do my Pro run. I'm glad I finished Separate Ways first so I have the armor for Ashley for the Water room.
Sometimes I really wish I could download a save for this game. Pro I think won't be that bad but I'm REALLY not wanting to do Mercenaries -- I just don't find it fun.

If you don't want to play Mercenaries, then don't. I've barely given it a try myself.
All it can do is unlock the HandCannon, and that's after a lot of time and trouble. There's no need for the HandCannon since you can unlock the PRL, Infinite Rocket Launcher, and Chicago Typewriter much more easily.
The fully upgraded Broken Butterfly hits hard enough that I've never felt a need for the Handcannon.

You WILL understand when you unlock it. It is IMO the most enjoyable of the unlockables, part of it the firepower, part of it the joy of unlocking it, part of it the bragging rights
It has some spread damage, piercing and other fun effects. Lastly you just feel really cool using it, epspecially against bosses. Pretty much 1 hit kills everything in the game.
I know the PRL does the same thing, but it also seems cheap in that it hits everything. The HC has a significant recoil and not a very fast ROF, which makes you play a bit more careful and strategic. If you happen to miss your shots you leave yourself open to attacks. With the PRL, CT and IRL, there are much bigger margins for error, and less chance of those errors occurring!
As an added bonus, Leon's pose in the inventory while having the HC equipped is just awesome

People should be aware that using the handcannon makes the game incredibly boring!
You blow away everything in this game with it.
I only used it once. On the gamecube. Never more.

Itchy Tasty! - Nov 1, 2012 1:32 pm GMTSo I just cleared Pro mode, took me aprx. 15 hrs. I hadn't died more than 3 times before the Krauser fight and the "Mike battles", but when I finished the game I had died a total of 20 times

I had forgotten how hard Krauser hits on Pro...

Make an instrumental add a little vocal; take to the stage and make the people go loco! - Nov 1, 2012 10:03 pm GMT^ Yeah, Krauser hits hard. IIRC, whenever you fall below 1/2 full health, you're in danger of dying with a single hit.
It took me a long time to master the Krauser fight. It requires a fairly accurate timing with the knife, and even then, it still requires some luck to do with no-damage. (So I guess I haven't 100% mastered it!) - Nov 1, 2012 11:17 pm GMTYeah. If you are lucky/skilled you can get him in a stun lock. When I beat him yesterday I took a beating at first, but managed to stun lock him until the fight was over.
