RE3 takes everything that was great about the first two Resident Evil games and improves it in almost every way.

User Rating: 9.5 | BioHazard 3: Last Escape (CapKore) PS
The High Points: Same-old tank controls, decent voice acting, more weapons, ability to make ammo a good add-in, STARS!, great story, and Raccoon City gets destroyed finally.

The Low Points: Looks almost identical to RE2 in graphics and gameplay, too much backtracking, very easy to get lost in this one.

Verdict: The best of the 3 RE games on the PlayStation.

Since Capcom gave us Resident Evil in 1996, gaming hasn't been the same since. The original defined the survival horror genre and is one of the most important games of all time and so is it's sequel Resident Evil 2 - both are talked about more than any other RE game to date. But when you bring up the last of the three PS1 Resident Evil games, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, someone may be like: "Wait, there were three of them?" Yes there are three RE games on the PS1 and this is the best of the 3. Yes, Resident Evils 1 and 2 are awesome, but I'd like to say that the 3rd just has a bit more to offer in terms of content and improves on just about everything. R.P.D STARS member Jill Valentine returns as the main character in RE3 as she is on a mission to escape a Raccoon City about to be destroyed by a nuke and has less than 3 days to survive the horror and escape. She is also being chased around by Nemesis, a mutant sent to kill all the STARS members by Umbrella, as she must stop him and escape. "STARS!" is all you will be hearing Nemesis say and he will ambush you at almost every point in the game. To stop Nemesis and all the zombies and creatures that ambush you, there are many weapons you will get in your journey to stop them, ranging from handguns to shotguns, to magnums, to mine throwers, to grenade launchers and what have you. The controls and gameplay are the same still. the controls are so bad that it's good and will satisfy hardcore fans of the series. The voice acting is a huge improvement over the first two games as well, there is nothing cheesy or barbaric about the voice acting in this RE game. there are a few problems like excessive backtracking. You can easily get lost in this game as Raccoon City is so huge and there is so much to do as well. Overall, no RE fan should be disappointed with 3. This is a PS1 classic that's worth picking up and you will be satisifed to play some good-ol school Resident Evil and hear Nemesis shout "STARS!" every 5 seconds.
