It always seems that I am over generous when it comes to DREAMCAST reviews, its hard not o be.
Firstly, I ensured that I switched on the surround system, having sound coming out of every speaker in the room, turned on the DREAMCAST and pressed start. The bass slammed on and "RESIDENT EVIL 2" was presented.
I had never played this type of game before, this is back in 2001 and I was suprised just how easy it was to control. Choosing your ammunition, more zombies coming, are you gonna run or fight, moans in all speakers as zombies draw in around you. As you run away, you hear the wind and only to be attacked by blooddy crows.
Then, there was the shock of zombie dogs attacking, making you panic like hell and trying to escape. The lickers then attacked, HARD TO KILL!!
This was presented magnificently by SEGA in their versiion. Completely original riddlles to solve, great soundtrack., great graphics.
The DREAMCAST knocked this one out, year before everyone else had ago, not even improving on it. Another prime understatement that was the DREAMCAST.
It would take another 4 yeasr for RESIDENT EVIL to present a new improved format of game play.

Despite being a short game, Resident Evil 2 has plenty of extra features and replay value making it worth a purchase.
