Its good, but has its pros and cons that need to be addressed
Cons -
Starting a new character on this game i was kind of lost, didnt know what to do, where to go. The game runs on quests, theirs no real storyline like guild wars has. So it leaves you running here and there on an bunch of unimportant quests that anyone could care less about. Its basically just a way of leveling up. Also the quest's are horribly explained. "HORRIBLY!!!" The fact is, some of the quests arnt even said to be in the direction they tell you. While my campus says east, "the direction of the quest telling me to go." Im looking for this guy, an hour later i find out to in actuality be to the south. And thats just one of a few examples where they messed up the quests. Its extremely annoying at times, sense its one of the primary methods of leveling up.
People speak all languages, not exactly an English/german/spanish/polish/ect... server selective. The game design doesn't let you really do that much after you get to a high level besides show it off in 1vs1 duals.. and a few dungeons.. but theirs no title displays, no elite missions, no real motivation. Thats just it the game lacks motivation. And they certainly arnt gaining it with the small crop of people there slowly pulling in.
This game is a full scale world so anywhere you go there is a possibility of people. I say possibility because another con is that hardly anyone plays this game. You cant have a good mmorpg if you aint got no one in it. Thats a fact, mmorpg's are designed to need people, and therefore without people its just a half mass atempt.
Pros -
Well with all that said and more that i probably left out, the game is good for being free. The best free mmorpg and graphical system i think iv ever seen. I mean guild wars is free, but this game is like 100% free. So no harm trying it i strongly encourage others to.
The game is a nightmare game, with 3 beautiful races the races dont have much customization options unfortunately but they are still beautiful races. Nothing like WoW races, ugly dwarfs, small midgets, frigen cows.. childish stuff. This game has nice races that are playable for 17+ ages thank god.
Another thing i like about this game are the way the skills work, a very nice skill system, its not perfect, but it is very nice and different from most games. Skills gained on level rather then money, is a feature i like. The weapons work the same way and can be customized which is another nice feature. One thing i dont like, is how all races and jobs cant use other job classes weapons. Weapons are asigned by job, so if im a rogue i cant go using a 2 handed sword... I dont like that. I would prefer that there was just a negative effect or a lesser effect rather then a complete shutdown. But its not a big deal its just another demand to try another job.
This game has a item mall feature, i like this feature, but i wish it wasnt all based on points bought by real money. It would be nicer if points were obtainable threw more options then money. Perhaps getting people to join the game gets you points.. or.. events idk. But no1 likes punching in there credit card number. No one. Even if we have the extra money to spare its just an annoyance to have to do that for a game you dont even care about that much.
The last thing i wanna say is, this game has pretty good graphics, love the gore and body parts flying off as you slice and dice monsters in half, good races, a new way to play, its free, nice looking armors/weapons. It can be fun at times.
