Red Faction Guerrilla was a very satisfying open game of destruction, mayhem, vehicles, & strategy

User Rating: 8.5 | Red Faction: Guerrilla PC
Let me start by saying I loved Red Faction 1.
The Geo Mod engine (aside from the limited amount of destruct-ability) got me hooked and the fun game play and mod tools kept me going.
2 was a big disappointment for me as it did not offer LAN play (and I generally game on PC).
Guerrilla looked like it had enough destruct-ability to keep me happy with LAN ability (and internet play through MS Live service... which meant I didn't ever use it).

And to make a long story short Guerilla did not disappoint me.
Although I would like a return (and expansion) of the original geo-mod engine I would like to be able to destroy the rock, dirt, etc...

The open world was really an open world.
The vehicles where un-ending fun (and added a lot of strategy when assaulting an enemy fortress/outpost).
Winning support and areas was very interesting.
The missions and optional missions were varied and interesting.
The Weapons were satisfyingly destructive and interesting.
The enemies were difficult enough with decent enough AI (not impressive but decent) to be fun.

There was very little of this game that wasn't @ least interesting, and most of it was down right fun.
