A Short DLC That Only Adds One Hour, and Doesnt Really Do Homage to Red Faction But A Few Achievements Make It Bearable

User Rating: 6 | Red Faction: Armageddon - Path to War X360
Red Faction: Armageddon - Path To War charts the short conflict at the begining of Armageddon between the Cultists and Red Faction over the Terraformer that breaths life into the planet, and allows the people to breath. The DLC adds four new missions to tackle, in both perspectives. The Cultists trying to destroy the Terraformer, and Red Faction trying to protect it.

Two of the missions follow a vehicle route, using a tank and the other a ship. The other two short missions are on the ground based.
You get a new weapon, the Shard gun that acts like a vaccum gun picking up debris and shooting it back out as a weapon.
This doesn't do much really to make it worth buying, as the Shard gun does not enter the original full game and cannot be used.
Path to War is short lived, its just a simple DLC used to keep the game fresh in people's minds. Possibly this will make makers of the game, produce more DLC.

The Good:

- The Shard gun is as good as you can use for the short time you can.
- A simple mission based DLC, doesn't ask for too much effort.

The Bad:

- Just an hour long! Severed for Dead Space 2, is an even longer DLC and costs less.
- Nothing new here! Almost makes you angry that its only four missions.

Path To War, is not necessary for fans of Armageddon. It will only apply to the hardcore fans of the game especially at is cost of 600 Microsoft Points (£5).
