Red Faction: Armageddon is a great and fun game. (Real Rating: 9.25) Spoilers

User Rating: 9.5 | Red Faction: Armageddon PC
I personally enjoyed Armageddon more than Guerrilla. Sure the game is linear and not as open as Guerrilla, but the action never seizes.

Gameplay:
9.25/10

When did Red Faction become a horror game? Not saying that it's a bad thing, but while the pacing and story is still action, the feel is horror. The environments are dark for the first half of the game and the monsters look like pimped out glowing necromorphs from Dead Space. If a person who never played or heard of the other Red Faction games played this, he/she would probably mistaken this as a survival horror title. As for the controls; the controls are very smooth and need very little customization. The pacing is smooth and most of the story makes sense.

Graphics:
9.5/10

Even though the only way I could play this game smoothly was on the lowest possible resolution settings, the graphics were still nice eye candy. The cut scenes were particularly nice. The characters look really realistic and the lip movements rival Mass Effect and Dragon Age. How ever, during gameplay, Mason's lips do not move. The only con I found.

Pros:

Graphics, controls, extra modes that you can blow sh1t up and overall gameplay

Cons:

Mason's lips don't move during gameplay, and Kara dies.

Overall:
9.25/10

Red Faction: Armageddon is a fun and fast pace game that has a minor horror theme. If you liked Red Faction: Guerrilla, you might like Armageddon. It has around the same fast paced action as Guerrilla, but it doesn't have the open world. The challenge isn't as high or impossible as Guerrilla and the destruction is about the same. So if you liked Guerrilla and don't mind the open world gone, get this game.
