The problem with these awards is that Gamespot is a little TOO fond of Rockstar so Rockstar games always gets a disproportionate number of awards. I liked renting RDR. I plan to buy it when the inevitable gold edition comes out so I don't have to store Undead Nightmare on my drive separately. However, it's always hard to tell whether RDR would have beaten the others out if it had been made by someone other than Rockstar.
yh man but dont hold anything away from rdr it was truly a spectacular game worthy of all its winnings
