Red Dead Redemption takes sandbox style games to higher level.
GRAPHICS: Hands down, RDR is the best looking open world game. Graphics are 100 times better than GTA 4's. Everything is simply stunning and highly detailed. Character models and facial animations look life like. The world in RDR is enormous and every next location is more prettier than the last. Just watching how suns rises is beautiful and so realistic. If you watch at the sun and sky your eyes will start to hurt. Sundown is really nice and all the red colors, clouds and sun rays provide a charming effect that RDR has. Wild life is very varied and it gives you the feel how everything is alive and in a some sort of harmony. You can even get bitten by snake if u walk through grass and bushes. if you just stay still for a moment you'll se how flies start to fly at John's face. The world is awesome. But there's one thing that you're gonna like and that's headshots. Try to pull off a headshot using dead eye and you'll see how the bullet cracks the skull and how brain burst and how blood is splattered all over the ground.

STORY: It's about John Marston, former outlaw, who is looking for revenge on a gang with whom he used to ride with. Story has many twists and turns and will keep you guessing. You'll meet some really interesting and funny characters. Incredible experience with best ending in gaming history. I cried like little baby at the end of the game.

GAMEPLAY: Something like GTA game, but this time much more better and polished. Your horse plays crucial role in RDR and it's so much more enjoyable riding horse than driving a car. Once you find yourself a fitting horse, it'll start to trust you and gain more stamina. you can invite your horse at any time, just whistle for it and he should appear and you're ready to go. Gunplay is excellent thanks to great cover system which reminds a lot of uncharted 2's cover system. You can shoot at people while on horse, on train and you can use gatling guns. John Marston has loads of weaponry at his disposal. Every gun is unique and fun to shoot. If you like trophies you can always play poker, horseshoes, liar's dice, arm wrestling, black jack and some more. I hated GTA 4 becuse there were no checkpoints and if you die you must repeat the mission from the beginning. RDR has checkpoints and that's another reason why it's so superior to GTA 4. Aside from all of this there's one bad thing in almost perfect gameplay. It's really shame that Marston can't swim. There are also few but rare glitches.

SOUND: Awesome. Voice acting is top notch. Some characters like Seth, Jonah and Abraham Reyes will make you laugh. Horses, wild life and guns all sound realistic. Western music is also good. Audio presentation is just perfect.

REPLAY VALUE: RDR is very rewarding game. Single player takes 20-25 hours to complete but that's just 70% of the game. There are loads of side quest such as stranger quests, bounty hunting, discovering all the locations, completing gang hideouts and many many more.
RDR features solid competitive and cooperative multiplayer. It's something like U2's multiplayer with leveling up, unlocking better guns, equipment and stuff. it should provide tons of fun and keep you coming back again and again.

OVERALL: Red Dead Redemption is a breakthrough in sandbox type of games. Awesome story, excellent graphics and plenty of chalenges to complete, combined with great multiplayer makes it a must own. Can't recomend it more.
