Average game and is missing something to make it a great game.
RDR is made by the same crew as Grand Theft Auto and u can easily see the comparision between them except RDR is in the west.
Ill start with the good parts to this game.
The scenery is 9/10 with details down to tumble weeds, cliff faces, towns.
John Marsden is a great character with great lines with some of the shadiest people ever to represent a game eg. Seth. I like the fact that u can hunt animals and the diversity of them like rabbits, wolves, boars and even the horse you ride. So far good storyline except that you do missions for people for no reason. If i was John i would of shot half of the main characters cause they were wasting my time.
Now the bad parts.
Mini- games most are to long annoying or confusing. I played poker for over an hour the first time i played and not once did the blinds increase. Horseshoe throwing was annoying throwing two exact same horseshoes the exact same way and landing in two different places. Arm wrestling at night so you couldnt see the opposing players face.
Horse riding is fun until u lose your horse and cant find it again as it wanders off. I also brought one of the best horses in the game to early and was to fast.
Dead eye should be discarded as to many battles start and end with dead eye. There ends up no skill when its slow opponents cant shoot you and you shoot 3 or 4 baddies. Which also brings me to missions which is repetitive, just shoot 10 guys and its over. Ive done it 20 times already and they throw a riding challenge in between.
To sum up they need better missions and something to make me to get more interested in. Oh and kids, yes its like GTA but that doesnt mean you have to rate it 10/10 please
