How is the mouse and keyboard support? Do you need a gamepad?

But the gameplay doesn't feel as smooth as say, Loki or BG:DA. Love these kind of games anyway, we need more of them.

Overall, it's decent, nothing spectacular. It's an obvious console port which really shows up in the menus. The UI elements you can tell are stretched out at 1080p from lower res console graphics. There's no mouse-over tooltips for abilities and skills, or how your primary stats (str, dex, con, etc) affect your damage. As a wizard, when I increase my str attribute, my damage goes up, which is not intuitive. I would assume wisdom would increase a wizard's damage.
The environment and character models look great though. They're varied, non-repetitive, which can really add a lot to the gameplay.
Controls are a little clunky, but mouse and keyboard are definitely functional. No key re-mapping unfortunately
No mini-map is absurd, I'm sorry. No excuse for not having this standard feature for an action RPG.
No drag and drop skills to a hotbar. Obvious console hold over.
These are just the complaints, but they are not enough to detract me from playing in the slightest. Overall its a fun game so far.
