Rayman User Review
You have to appreciate this game. The Graphics and Music are tops for a Game Boy Color game. It's also really fun too.

Oh, God, I'm having a game-gasism. Srsly, the is close to being the best game I have ever played.
Gameplay 10/10
It's platforming phenomena. It's like Super Mario Bros. [NES] and Rayman 1 put together. [PS1] There are Several levels for you to play, and they are all very fun and imaginative. A total of eight worlds.
First, there's Spellbound Forest. Very similar to the Dream Forest from the original. Second, there's the Airy Tunes. A lot like the Band Lands. Third, theres the Rainy Forest. A pretty original looking level made specifically from this game. Fourth, Rocky Peaks. A darker and a lot more cooler version of the Blue Mountains. Fifth, the Ancient Forest. Another original level. Sixth, The Fiery Depths. Like a Cave of Skops, only with more lava. Seventh, the Arcane Forest. The last world, and another very original world. And lastly, the Dark Legacy. Another original world. It's by far the longest and hardest of the worlds, and can only be reached once all thirty eight cages are broken.
There is a password system in this game, and it sometimes won't work correctly. For example, some passwords won't work when they are valid ones. But if you restart the game, it might work.
YOU FREAKING FIGHT MR. DARK IN THIS VERSION!!!! You can already tell how awesome that is.
Controls 10/10
The controls have perfect configuration, and are as simple as hell. Really. A is jump and Helico. B is punch. D pad is for moving. Simple.
Graphics 10/10
Graphically, this is the best Game Boy Color game in history. The graphics of the cut-scenes, levels, you name it, are astonishingly beautiful. Almost no sprites are reused in levels. Practically every scenery platform and background is different from the last.
Music 10/10
It brings the melodies from the Rayman 2 music more visible in hearing. It also makes good use of the stereo speakers in the Game Boy Color system. And for a GBC game, it sounds amazingly.
Plot 8/10
The same plot from Rayman 1, only it's mainly centered on Rayman getting to Mr. Dark and defeating him. Rayman, the Tings, and Mr. Dark are practically the only characters in the game.
Replay Value 10/10
The cages, the Time Attack, and just replaying the fun levels is pretty much the replay value.
Difficulty Easy
It's very easy, especially for older gamers. If you're young, like seven, it's a bit more challenging.
Bad things about this game:
The game feels a bit too short. It's mostly because of the easiness of the majority of the levels, and the lack of enemies and bosses. The Time Attacks are bit to hard. You make one mistake, and you usually lose, and making mistakes in the Time Attack levels can be pretty easy. Also, the password system can be pretty annoying.
Rent or Buy?
Buy. Obviously.
