This is defininetly not the Ratchet and Clank game you would expect. There is many changes some good some bad.
I am going to start with the bad. Clank has been pretty much removed from the game, and everything is focused on Ratchet. The only time you hear him is when he is giving you tips. The other bad thing is that is almost no platforming at all, thus being not as much of a Ratchet and Clank feel. The game also gets very reppetative at times and it feels in every level you are fighting through endless waves of enemies and turning bolt cranks.
There is good points in this game though. There of course is lots of new weapons and gadgets at your disposal. There are also new planets with new designs and very well put together. And of the story is humorous and well told as always. All the sounds are good, and the enemies you face look very nice.
This game may not seem to be true Ratchet and Clank, but at it's heart it is.
