This isn't one of my favorites of the series but it's still fun.
This game certainly changes things up in the Ratchet and Clank world. No Clank to play. No major storyline other than pretty much just kill stuff. ALL combat and shooting your way to the top. This game is for many but not for everyone.
If you're a die hard Ratchet and Clank fan then you'll still wind up enjoying this one even though it is fairly short. You should definitely rent this one rather than buy it as you'll be able to beat it in no time flat. If you stick to it you could definitely beat it in a day without any troubles.
This game is lacking in the fun story mode and platforming of the other three previous games but it still adds some great new features. I REALLY liked the weapons system a lot and the ability to really upgrade everything you had. I found myself sticking to only a handful of the weapons and upgrading the heck out of them but it was still a great thing.
The game is also a bit easier than the others in the series. I've always hated the hoverbike sections in this series and they aren't too bad in this one. As well, you get to enjoy a number of different vehicles and scenarios which was a bit refreshing after just countless battles with all the evil robots. lol
My biggest complaint with this game is it just got repetitive after a while. With so little in the way of story you found yourself trudging through just to finish the thing. There wasn't much to pull you and keep you interested other than knowing that it's a shorter game. Yet, if you're a Ratchet and Clank fan it's certainly a must play.
